Thought it would be interesting to share some of the techniques you enjoy using.

Anaconda Choke:

Find with this choke if they know what you are doing and are moving along with you the best thing to do is to hold the choke and roll onto your back and then wrap them with your legs; stretch yourself out and squeeze.

Armbar from Scissor Sweep:

One of my favorites. If you can create space and block their leg and get a hold of the arm on the same side then perform the scissor sweep. If you can't then set them up for this. Try a couple of scissors with failure so they are not expecting this.

There is one other I really love but couldn't find a video though I know one exists so will keep looking. It starts on our back and you isolate an arm. The set up is almost a disguise as you bring your one leg over so that both legs are on one side of this body so the thinks his arm is not in jeopardy. You shrimp by pushing off with your outside leg while hooking the back of his head with the inside leg. From their the outside leg comes over to create an arm bar.

Looks kind of like this. www.lockflow.com

I rock that armbar from the scissor sweep with NoGI all the time. It looks a lot easier with a collar to grab onto.

I'll play along. Coming from a wrestling backround I fell in the love with the Peruvian Necktie. Check out this awesome tip and variation.

Peruvian Necktie

Also, check out this purple belt test. This dude would be a damn black belt at some of the places I have trained. Real smooth. Awesome shit at 2:30, sweet omplata to triangle at 3:00 and the reverse straight armlock at 4:47 is sick.

Shit list? Did I tick off everybody? Highly doubt that but if that is what it is then so be it.

BJJ Stud ... what, are they all models? His wife thought the guys were all beautiful, bet she wished she was rolling in the ring with some of them.

Peruvian Neck Tie ... I like that. Have known of it but not really seen it. I have book marked this baby.

Got to head out so will look at the Purple Belt test tomorrow. Thanks for sharing.

Watching the Purple Belt test right now; nice to see what one can expect at that level. Some really decent techniques used, but would expect at that level. I thought he did an excellent job; well deserved.

Easto, like seeing some options; where to go next when it doesn't work. BJJ is like a chess match and my problem is thinking ahead. This is something I always work on and can have a couple of techniques I do that I can set somebody up and then try, and even have a few that I know what to do afterwards ... but they are not many. I know that this comes with time but stuff like this certainly helps.
