sorry, being fairly new to this i just had a few questions. one is what are the best foods to gain mass with, and can you gain fat by eating these foods, such as eggs? what is the best way to prepare eggs or other foods?

Welcome to the board bro! For your first question, read the sticky in this category. You can gain fat by eating (fat obviously) but by eating a lot of carbs, especialy simple carbs (sugar) and not burning them off. Eggs are a good source for protein but the yolk has 4.5g of fat in them so you'll prob want to take some yolks out or buy egg whites.
you can get fat eating any food
it's all about how much you eat
excess calories are stored as fat
The thing is you're going to want a surplus of calories if you want to gain mass but if you eat clean foods that won't raise insulin and get stored as fat easier (to dumb it down so to speak) and if you train hard that will sort it all out
Eggs are a great food but again u can have too much so work out how many calories you need to reach your goals and create a plan around that
Other good bulking foods are
Steaks, Fish and meats
Clean carbs like oatmeal, sweet potatoes, yams, beans and lentils
and good fats like Flax oils, fish oils and olive oils
