Weight loss and HRT

I am 53yrs, 9 months old, 5'8" currently 225 lbs. I started a diet at a weight of 289 lbs on February 15, 2010, through a metabolic dr. We ran all blood test and PSA was good, cholesterol 205, Test levels were "low normal" at 185.

I have lifted weights and done cardio most of my life and about 2 years ago just started loosing strength and gaining weight. The next thing I know I'm big and fat. I lost approx 35-40% of my natural strength. I have never used any thing stronger than multi vitamins and whey protein.

Metabolic dr. started me on Adipex and I started working out again and losing weight.
One month into diet I had lost 20 lbs, but 7 lbs of it was muscle.

Dr. started me on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) at 200 mg of test cypionate every 10 days. I upped my caloric intake to 200 grams protein and around 1200 - 1400 calories per/day. Most of the muscle loss stopped for about 6 weeks. Then I started losing muscle again, I upped my dosage of test to about 150 mg twice a week and actually started getting stronger and lost 12 lbs lst month.

Question is: should I tell the dr I increased the test on my own? I have blood work and another dr. visit in August. Should I back off the test to the level prescribed? The original prescription had enough refills for me to do this and not run out until end prescription expires.

Any input would be helpfull

hey listen call chip wadowski 866-306-8139 ext307 no doc, will help u like chip he understands ur need,u can bring ur own blood work and chip would take care of it,"LET CHIP TAKE CARE OF U"..= - )

If I were you I would keep doing what you are doing (150mg 2x per week) if that is making you feel "good" and helps obtain your goals. Then go get your blood work done as planned and see where your levels are at. If they are within a good range then tell your doc what you did and the reason why you did it. Then ask him to up your new prescription to what you are now taking.
If he says no, then tell him to hit the road and call up Chip Wadowski, the nations leading HRT/TRT specialist! :wiggle:

Youre doctor works for you. If you only feel good on 300mg of Test per week thats what he should prescribe you.
