hi, im a rookie at this and i have been working out for about 2-3weeks and im trying to eat healthy but i dont know what are healthy fats and from what foods do i get them and what foods should i stay away from im weak when i see food around lol
stay away form processed foods, margarine has more unhealthy fats than butter, and olive oil is considered a healthy fat. A general rule is the more processed it is the assumption of unhealthy can go along with it. Olive--simply oil pressed out of olives=healthy.
Fats- EFA’s (Essential Fatty Acids) are extremely important in any diet. The list of benefits from taking in dietary fats I extensive and I am not even going to get started on it. I will just say that a diet which includes EFA’s will yield much better results. Good sources of fat are:
Saturated (butter, meat, etc), hydrogenized (margarine, peanut butter, anything that has been made creamier), and transfats (anything deepfried, chips, etc) are all considered unhealthy.
