I just started a new diet this week, and Im trying to ween myself off of processed food....this includes splenda, diet pop, sugar free stuff, anything with suclorose. I believe these things over time hinder fat loss, especially over a long period of time. Anyone agree with this?? Not to mention my energy is much improved...Im lovin it!!!

Hmm I haven't eaten processed foods aside from the occasional fast food burger for the last few years.
Energy increase for sure, also find that now my BM's are like clockwork and consistent.

does sucralose affect fatloss?

i have seen no data to suggest it.

as a matter of fact, ive seen plenty of amateur competing BBers online use splenda and other artificial sweeteners pretty extensively pre-contest (think SF gum, crystal lite, SF tang, etc) while getting shredded to the bone. But then again, drugz will do that to you.

I would like more info here if anyone knows...I have just come off the fast foods, pop, etc and got on the sugar frees..Lost 10 lbs in 6 weeks...Now, if I need to get off this too I'm not sure where to go from here....

Since mid October, I dropped almost 40 pounds. I started out dropping the junk food. I was eating Subway a good bit, then I dropped that along with dairy. I pretty much just drink water ( aside from a few beers once in a while ).
Now I'm only eating whole foods. My energy level went up, which I need with 2 small kids in the house.
This is me as of tonight. Just a starting point for where I want to go.

Im not sure, but I am CONVINCED sugar free products and artificial sweeteners causes somewhat of an insulin spike...even though its not proven. Other than that, the bloat and irregular BMs alone would want me to stop using them. It is rather difficult going from nothing to having sugar free everything every day.
