will steroids stretch/ruin my tattoos?

I have a tattoo on my side and one on the back of my calf and a foot one. I am thinking about spending quite a bit of money on a chest piece that I want. however, i am worried that when im 25 and g2g w/ gear that i will ruin these tattoos because i will get too stretched out from the muscle mass and it will ruin my tattoos. has this happened to anybody? should i just avoid the chest piece and go for spots where stretching wont be as much.

Growing won't stretch your tattoos. HOWEVER, if you get stretch marks ON them... that may be a different story. I have quite a few tattoos, but have yet to get stretch marks actually on them.

In my experience I've never eard of anybody who had a tattoo ruined from getting to big. I can see if you start getting stretch marks it could mess them up but I wouldn't worry bout it.

I have a chest piece and its fine
I have a lot of ink.. Only think that sux is slowing down in the gym till the area you got worked on heals up a bit
After one piece I kept in the gym regardless and was forced to do many touch ups.. My fault

I know this is not my thread lol, but I am getting a tattoo in 2 weeks and I was planning on putting aquafor on the tattoo and a bandaid over the tattoo for ONLY when I am working out, I was thinking that would make if fine to work out with the tattoo, does that sound good?

I worked on a ranch when I got my first two...and I live in Texas so I sweat a fuckin gallon a day...and my tats were fine...just keep doin what the artist tells you to do...and ask him, he'd be the best person to ask...

You never want to recover a tattoo. The artist will cover it once he is finished and tell you not to take it off for a couple hours but after that you don't want to cover it cause you're trapping bacteria in there and it needs to breath to heal.

^ This.
I've never taken time off from the gym after getting tattooed. I have a big chest piece, the majority of my arm, and a smallish one on my leg. I've also never covered them, or put anything on them UNTIL they start scabbing. If those scabs rip, you'll end up with a scar and the ink in that spot will be all fucked up. Seen it happen pretty bad... but that's also dependent on how good your artist is. Or rather, how heavy handed he/she is.

My first Tattoo I got I had a broken leg at the time so I was unable to workout really lol. I was using aquafor for 3 weeks and the tattoo healed great. I hope I am able to workout when I get my new ones, I really do not want to mess them up.

No bro ! I just got pretty much my whole upper arm done. Got it Wens and was back at the gym Mon. You only cover it for the first hour or so till it stops bleeding if any. Then I used Vaseline 4-5 times a day. Wash it with anti bacterial soap 2-3 times a day. Once it stops peeling use a perfume less hydrating lotion. Make sure your soap is perfume less and nothing but soap in it.
