I use db's as the bb's put too much strain on my shoulder. My physical therapist told me that it would be best to stay away from the bb's. He also told me that it would help strengthen my weaker arm.:D
I do it right now on my shoulder days as I am rehabing from shoulder surgery. I have to warm my shoulder up real good before doing any presses so I have to do my laterals first.
Go for it.
Don't wait until you're 40, check into some of the local shows in your area and find a couple to enter, just for the experience of being on stage.
