I have been working out 1 muscle group a day for the past three months. I started this way because my roomate has had great success with it. It has been working for me cause I am constantly going up in weight even if its a little. I read a lot about overtraining on this site. The other day I decided I would do a 3 day split.
So yesterday i went to the gym to do back and Bi's. When I do back I start with deadlifts, then bent over rows, then seated rows.
Deadlifts I will do a warmup then go up in weight each set. After warmup i will do like 4 sets, somethimes on the last set I go as heavy as i can and maybe only get like 3 reps in. I do each excercise like this. It usually takes me 45 minutes and i am very tired by the time I am done.
Yesterday I went to do my Bi routine right after deadlifts and the weight was heavier than usual, and when i got to 110 lbs i could only do 2 reps when i usually get 6 out.
Should i stick with what I have been doing so that I can go as heavy as possible with each muscle or make the switch even though my weight may go down a little?
I am ending week 5 of my first test only cycle.
My goal is to put on as much muscle as possible, and i want strength to climb as quick as possible.
