1 rep max

Check out my sig, this one I like. There is another that is based off another formula that Mens Health used to run but it seems for me to be a big overestimate, the one in my sig seems to follow the formula used by most others and is very accurate for me even when going off of near 30 rep stuff (225 bench, etc).

Here is a chart that I use in my training log to help me estimate, if I want a set of 5 reps and I know I can bench 365 for example, and I'm not yet very tired then I will go with 315 for the movement. For every set thereafter depending on rest time I might lose around 10 pounds if I am going 100%, if not then sometimes I would just do tripples at maybe less than max intensity.

mudge that chart seems to err on the heavy end. I know my 1rm is diff from 10rm but compared to other 1rm calcs don't u think this one calcs a little heavy? Maybe its just me and my maxes, just wondering what you thought.

You are saying that its over-estimating your strength? For me its pretty accurate, I've seen others that were way off though thinking I'd be 10-15 pounds stronger. Those are the ones I trashed, like the Men's Health one (which the link died for some reason).
