177 or 176?

I asked this in another thread but got no response. I have a source basically saying that 177 is not what you want, and that 176 HGH frag is the way to go. He and others are stating that Frag gets a bad rap because most sources carry 177 and it doesn't work. So what is the difference and if that's true why are most people carrying 177?
