1st Cycle Questions With Pics

I have been lifting for quite a while, and have been thinking about running my first cycle after researching for quite sometime. From my research I have gathered that a beginner on their first cycle, such as myself should run a test only cycle.

My current goal is to get shredded as possible for summer. Basically a hard, vascular, aesthetic physique is what I'm after. The dreamworld scenario would be to even add some lean mass in the process, but I'm fine with my current size.

Questions:

Will I benefit from cutting on a test only cycle? Is it possible to add lean mass on a cut? From what I've gathered its hard to add lean mass in a caloric deficit, even while on a test only cycle. So what would the benefits be of cutting on a test only cycle? I have read several threads were people say that test Prop helps one retain less water, any truth to this? Would it just help preserve what i already have? Do longer or shorter esters make a difference on a cut? Will a clean diet and AI be enough to keep water retention down? Would a test only cycle on a cut be worth it? Would it be safe to add an oral, such as var to my first cycle?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Test Prop is definitely the way to go for less water retention. You stated this would be your first cycle. How are you with pinning EOD? Have you injected anything before....B12 perhaps?

It wouldn't take a lot of gear to achieve what you desire. Though it would definitely require a lot of injections of various compounds.

The main benefit to running a cycle while on a cut is to stay 'anti-catabolic' . we all know that when your on a calorie deficit and trying to loose BF that the possibility of losing muscle mass is high as the body taps into 'stored reserves' of muscle for sources of amino. being on a cycle of say 500 mg of test, will keep the body anabolic and in a positive state of nitrogen retention, and there is thus less chance of losing muscle mass during a cut.

So, keeping that in mind, NO it is not a good idea to try and run a cycle for a pure CUT and expect to put on pure bulk, ie., muscle mass, at the same time. You can however 'fill out' and make the muscles appear fuller and larger through the anabolic process while losing body fat at the same time , this is accomplished by filling the muscles with more and more water, blood volume, glycogen stores, etc.. running a cycle makes this much easier.

so the end result, yes you can loose body fat and yet 'appear' bigger and more muscular by running a cycle.

your questions about 'bloat' are really just going to depend on your diet and your protocol for controlling estrogen (keep that in check and you can stay fairly dry no matter what 'ester' of test you run).

500 mg of test E or test cyp for 10-12 weeks is a fairly common and solid first cycle . keep test prop for a second cycle when you've already learned how to pin properly (and learned to deal with virgin muscle soreness from injecting) and learned how you respond to test, how your body aromatizes and how you've learned to control that with proper AI dosing for you.
