3J HELP PLZ! Ques on sugar in my foods?

I have been eating the hannaford low sugar oatmeal which Ive noticed had 6 g of sugar in a serving and then my red fat cottage cheese has 4 g of sugar in it. Im in the process of losing a little weight but how bad is that sugar? I can switch to steel rolled oats which just have 1 gram but what about the cottage cheese?
 
if your only having one or two servings of the oats its no big deal

as for the cottage cheese.. it breaks down so damn slowly you dont have to worry about it
 
its really predicated on what activity level your at before and after the meal...

as a central rule.. sugar is a fast acting carb... i would try to stay away from it as much as possible..

but havine 12g of sugar in a day isn't going to kill you lol
