I was 6 4 231 and 20 percent bodyfat

i am now 228 and 17 percent body fat

I am going to take pictures and post them over the next 5-10 weeks. Do you think these are good gains?

I also have been thinking about getting on something but when i ready around the net i see alot of guys say its not even worth it until you get your bf% down to at least10-12% Should i wait?

I was also thinking of starting my bulking diet in the beggining of sept. Do you think this is a good idea or should i continue on my "cut and gain lean mass" diet? Any advice is great. Thanks.

Yes I think the gains are in line with what you should expect.

are you still only doing 20 minutes of cardio 6x a week? I hate cardio but man my results were SOOOO much more impressive when i upped my cardio, I do cardio 6-7x a week in the morning and at least 2 or 3x a week pwo sometimes more.....

Totally depends on how you like your look come September

still only doing PWO cardio. I am doing HIIT on a treadmill for 20 min. My prob with cardio is that it kills me and the next day my weight training really sucks and i have this stigma of i need to pushing weight to be respected in the gym you know? Plus with the low carb intake i feel flat and lethargic as it is.

You gotta lose that mentality, do you care about your looks or how much you can lift? I could care less if im curling 65lbs or 165lbs I care about my looks. You need to decide what your goal is. Im speaking in general terms here but a BB is never gonna lift what a power lifter does but the powerlifter is never gonna look like the BB'er. Its all about your goals.

We have chubby guys in the gym that can lift double what i do maybe triple, im sure others will tell you the same.

yeah you are right man. i guess i got to lose my pride. any thoughts on the bf% and getting "on"?

Everyone has their own opinion on this, I say bust your ass natty and reach your full potential that way first then decide. I would be more interested in knowing why your hitting this wall? Looking quickly at your diet it looks like your getting enough calories. Im curious to hear from 3J about your pre workout meal, I asked him in another thread about consuming carbs pre workout when doing pwo cardio. I would think you would want carbs pre workout regardless but looking forward to hearing his response.

Do you have the ability to do any morning/empty stomach cardio? if so, do it.

No lie, i havent hit a huge wall or anything but i would love to put on more size as i lean out. I have always been skinny, even at 20% bodyfat i was "skinny Fat" being tall kinda sucks. I actually just started (literally today) doing morning cardio on a empty stomach. I will try to get a few sessions in this way. Its tough because i already wake up pretty early and have to drie a hour+ to work, work is a hot ass warehouse, eating low carb meals, leave work and train then go home eat a couple more times go to be and start all over again, not to sound like a bitch, and i know this is not ment to come easy i just find that it gets really hard to train with any intensity towards the end of the week already so waking up and doing 20 min or so of cardio feels like it is going to wipe my ass out.

No reason you cant do a lean bulk, sounds like what your doing anyway. The key is how lean do you want to get? You want a nice V? you want abs? you want to just look good? its all about your goals and expectations.

Diet and lifting are key to size. Diet and cardio are key to leaning up.

Amen brother very well put, ppl who dont know better get the two confused and they are totally different sports. I dont give a shit about this guy at my gym for instance who weighs about 300lbs with a bf% over 45% he benches over 400 lbs and thinks he is the shit I just keep looking at my chest chisel out while lifting my 70 lb dumbells and think "damn I'm glad I dont look like that"

do you think it would help speed fat loss if i cut the carbs from my 3rd meal and added them pre work out? The only carbs id would be having at that point would be morning and pre/post workout. i want to gain size but ultimatly i want fat loss for the summer. Any thoughts?
