5x5 workout, should i go to failure on last set

just wondering if you should go to failure on your last set of 5 for the 5x5. My roomate does'nt think so but it is what I have been doing, we both seem to be gaining so far, the only difference is he has more energy for his other exercises after the 5x5.
 
I think you should be able to complete all sets of the 5x5, but the 8-10 would be to failure. I'm not sure but I know someone asked this question (or something very simular) in the sticky at the top of this page. Hope that helps.
 
it depends how long youve been doing 5x5..if your just starting the weight should be somewhat easy..as you progress up in weight you will find the the 5th rep on the last 2 or so sets are difficult..

as far as accessory work when i can get 2 sets of 10 i up that weight as well..
