A few ?'s about end of cycle and return to TRT..

So I will be wrapping up my first cycle in about 6 weeks. I am a TRT patient, so how do I transition from my cycle back to TRT? Do I just drop back down to my 150 mg of test cyp? Or do I taper down a bit? How about my Aromatase inhibitor (AI) dose? Also how soon should I start dropping my calories down closer to maintenance? Lastly how long should I wait before I do another blast?

Just drop back down to your TRT values of test and Aromatase inhibitor (AI). Caloric intake should also be able to be adjusted as you don't have to worry about going hypogonadal, which is why many recommend keeping calories up for a couple weeks into PCT - which you obviously don't need to do. I would still go by the rule of thumb that time off = time on (no PCT obv). You can stretch it longer or shorter as long as blood tests come back good, but I would try to be on the conservative side of things and opt for no more than 2-3 blasts a year.

My .02c :)

I would just start taking your TRT dose when you are done. No need to taper the test down.

AI is a bit trickier. I would stay at your current dose for about a week and then taper it down. By week 2-3 you should be back at your TRT dose. Just remember, crashing your E2 sucks. Err on the side of letting your E2 be a little too high rather than too low during the transition.

Calories - let's see what others say. Maybe taper it down at the same rate as your AI?

Time - I would still go by the adage Time on = Time off. Your body needs time to rest.

Hopefully the guys who are on TRT and have run lots of blasts will give you some input too.

How long until your next doctor appointment?

Thanks for the help. I will do as you suggested.

Thanks for your input on this, I will do as you suggest as far as the Aromatase inhibitor (AI) is concerned. I definitely would prefer not to crash my e2. None of the low e2 sides sound like a good time.
My doctors appointment is 4 weeks after the end of my twelve week cycle. I'm starting week 6 today. Will that be enough time for my levels to return to normal? Or should I try to push appointment back a bit?

I would push it back and give yourself more time. Two months would be better. Make sure you run labs and check your numbers before you go in. Check after 3-4 weeks to make sure you are on track.

As to the calories, it depends on what you're trying to accomplish.
I will still be trying to bulk for a bit after cycle ends but I know it won't be nearly as efficient as while on, I'm eating around 4200 cals right now and I'm gaining about a pound a week at this point. I know I won't be able to take in that many off cycle without becoming a fat ass.

I would push the appointment back and I would get a private lab test before going to the doctor to make sure everything is where it should be so that you don't have to answer strange questions.

What are your stats currently and what's your maintenance level?

What are your stats currently and what's your maintenance level?

Age 36
Height 6'6
Weight 233
Bf 15%
233(.15)=198.05 lean body weight
198.05/2.2=90.023 kg
370+(21.6x90.023)=2314.5 BMR
2314.5x1.55=3597 maintenance
I played with this number a bit week to week and 4000-4200 seems good for now. I also work an active job and on my feet and lifting and moving all night long.
Does this look about right?

Yea it looks like a great starting point. If you've tried it out and tweaked the number to figure out where your maintenance is that's even better. Don't forget though that as you gain weight you will need to add calories to keep sustaining further weight gain. I'd add in calories or recalculate every 5-10lbs or when progress stops. What macros are you looking at?

I agree with this. You shouldn't have to push it back as long as you're not running really high doses of test, but a private blood test a couple days before your exam/test will definitely let you know if you need to push it out a bit. :)

I tend to give myself 5 weeks or so to return to my TRT values of total testosterone/bp/liver values/lipids/etc. ;)

Another option is not pinning for two weeks after your cycle ends and then resume your normal dosing. This way you get two "free" weeks of TRT and you will not have to reschedule your appointment.

What do you other guys think about this? Is this a could strategy? If so, how would doing this effect my E2 levels, and Aromatase inhibitor (AI) dosing? Would my test levels drop too quickly? What are any potential problems with doing this if any?

I do this ^^ after a blast. Seems to work for me. Only I don't pinn for a month. After 12-14 weeks on a long ester. I'm not sure if two weeks is enough time. Atleast not for me. I run 750 mg a week
