Hey everyone, this is my first post in this forum but I have been around reading for a while. Over the summer I did my first cycle of test e. Came off like I was supposed to, followed clomid and nolva for 4 weeks, waited another month and went to the doc. Blood work came back as total test 316ng/dl. He said this was normal, no discussion to be had. After that my wife commented that I was back to the guy I was before cycle, this means the following: no sex drive, lazy, mean, depressed and generally not pleasant to be around. this got me thinking, was my test always low? I recently began another cycle and of course Mr. Wonderful is back, I'm happy, wife is even happer than before and not just because of all the sex but because of my general improvement in attitude. Question is should I find a another doc, or continue down the path I am on until I am ready to to it under a doc's care? Thanks

Yes, find a new doctor. 316 is low.

What were your baseline lab results before you started cycling? Without that who can say if you always needed testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or if your cycle just screwed up your hormones.

316 ain't bad for an 85yr old lol. Not making light of your situation, but yeah your levels are seriously low.

Yeah that level is low. How old are you by the way?? If you do have to go on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and you are having some trouble with your doctor, I would look in to the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) forum sponsor here IMT (IncreaseMyT) because they know their shit about hormones and can get you dialed in pretty nicely. Good luck.

I am 30, infact I just turned 30 a month ago. I have felt like this for a while and never really thought about it, even with all the media stuff I thought it only happened to much older guys.

i would not be happy with anything under 500. shit give me the upper limit and then add on 100-200 on that... just me though.
and it depends on health and body, not everyone is the same or reacts the same.

Well that also part of why I asked about going to a doc. What are the odds that I will find one willing to get me up there. I have friends on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and are at around 400-500 and the doc is happy. If I am gonna be shut down may as well make the most of it!

Yeah that is pretty low man. I would definitely do something about that. We only live once and I sure as shit ain't living with low test levels. I have been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for over 2 years. I got on at 28 years old and before testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) I could never get my Total T over 300. Averaged around 250 and I felt like death. I took the plunge and I never looked back. The chances of you finding a doctor who is knowledgeable on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is very slim. Most will be cool with you being at a 500-600. Most don't know anything about estrogen control or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG). Like I said, perhaps you should look up IMT.

I emailed them earlier today. Cost may be a factor, anti aging clinics usually dont accept insurance and if the prices are similar than I may have to go it alone

Does Weight and height make a difference. Like 400ng/dl in a 5'3 145 pound man and 400ng/dl in a 6'3 200 pound man.

I can't see how it wouldn't. A bigger man will have more blood, so it makes sense that more blood would require a higher dose to make blood levels reach the same quantity of test per volume of blood. If you have a small man with 8 pints of blood and a big man with 12 pints of blood, it would take 50% more for the big man to have the same level in his blood. So the little guy takes 200mg and the big guy needs 300mg to reach the same saturation level.

I'm probably totally wrong due to something I have no clue about. But as a simple math exercise, I'm totally correct.:insane:

Figured I would give an update. Checked out IMT and it sounds great and the staff was very well informed unfortunately it is a little to expensive for me. I have been unable to really look for a local doc but I have done slme research but nothing has turned up yet. I will probably continue to self administer for now, I feel comfortable with my protocol, (hcg, test, and I may add some liquid stane). I have no plans to do anything stupid and no desire fo complicate this so other substances are out. Thanks guys.
