Hi, In short I need advice on first cycle to take? (bear with me apologese for the essay lol)
I've worked and trained in the health and fitness industry for 6-7 years. Have a decent foundation of human anatomy and physiology (apart from the endocrine system.)
Training for past few years has been typically strength training (5x5, 4x4) for 10-12 weeks then a hypertrophy phase (3-5 day splits, compound lifts with isolation) Tried most types of training methods at some point or other (supersets, to failure, negatives, assisted reps, pre/post fatigue.)
Diet is pretty clean most of the time. Usually 5-6 eatings a day every 2-3 hours, nice balance of carbs/protein/good fats + vits and mins. Tried high carb and low carb methods. Usually get 1g of protein per pound of bw. Also tried getting 4000-5000 calories a day which just made me fat lol. Have even recently tried the warrior diet approach.
Tried all the usual recovery/bulk shakes, always take fish oils, multi-vit nd sometimes a zma supp for overall health.
Recovery wise, I've learned to listen to my body and not over do it on the training, get about 6-7 hours sleep a day (that's all I need can't sleep anymore.)
Despite having tried all this over the past 6-7 years I've only managed to put on 6 pounds however alot leaner. So my opinion would be that I find it hard to gain. Which is why I think I'm ready to take a course but know very little about this kind of stuff and don't want to go into this blind.
Age 24
Weight 72 kg
Height 5ft 8"
Body fat 12%
Body type naturally I would say ectomorph/endomorph
Other stuff: white (pretty much built to survive an ice age) and have a bit of natural gyno going on since puberty.
So would appreciate any advice really (what, when, how, why etc.) Just to give me a base so I can go off and learn myself too. In an ideal scenario I'd like to do one cycle with the least amount of side effects, put a bit muscle mass on (more shape up a little) possible rid myself of the natural gyno (which I doubt.) So after I could be content with my shape and just train for maintenance or go more for personal bests.
I understand there is no one size fits all methods and that this topic is very subjective (like most things in the health and fitness world) but would appreciate any advice
Thanks Elcardo
