Allopurinol, Hematocrit and going on cycle.

Hi there everyone,

1st post here. I am just wondering if I have been prescribed allopurinol for gout, is it safe taking it while going on cycle?

Another thing I read which was a bit confusing was that I read conflicting reports pf allopurinol's impact on your RBC and hematocrit levels.

In this study, it seems treatment with allopurinol could actually bring down hematocrit and RBC levels??

Can anyone with knowledge clarify?

your major issue here is going to be the hepatoxicity of allopurinol.. its going to give your liver a hell of a time...

add testosterone to that, which is also hepatoxic to some degree and you have a real concern..

how long will you be on the meds?

as for your rbc and hemo.. a test cycle would increase those levels.. assuming the meds do not block that ability by blocking the ability of new red blood cells to be created, it should actually balance out..

im no expert on the matter though.. its out of my scope
