Another Rest Pause Question

rest pause means ldo as many reps as you can ..lets say you get 8 stop take a few deep breathes for about 15-20 secs then bang out a few more reps then deep breathes again bang out a few more reps keep repeating the scenario..

so you may get 8 reps
then 4 reps
then 2 reps
another 2
and a single
thats 17 rest paused reps

8/15 is total rep range. most i have seen are 11/15.

anyway do all you can do til failure. 10-15 sec break. then again to failure, 10-15 sec break then again to failure. 7/3/1 is an ideal rp set. if you get in the 11-15 range next time around on this movement you add weight. if you below the 11 then next time around you stay.

PM in-human and hell give it to you better as he does dc stuff very well.

i rack it and relax while i take deep breaths. now if its some kinda leg pressing movement i dont rack it but i dont rp leg movements. those are Straight set. same with deads or a variation of deads.

bro you gotta remeber too that i am a PLer and dont do rp often. i messed with dc's routine for a few months to make somne changes to it so that it would be more PLing friendly. it was lacking partcularly in the posterior chain movements. i made several changes and have a decent routine out of it now for those who like dc style of training. it doesnt have a big carry over to PLing though. i mean its still a good routine for overall strength and size but not specialized enough for PLing. with the mods i made it prolly a better 2xw routine than 3xw. esp if you pushing yourself.

still confused....after the 15 seconds, do you add more weight or do you add more weight the next week??

same weight that set. add weight the next time you come back to that movement if you got between 11-15 reps.
