ANS Diablo (Electric Lime) Review

Beast in the Gym
All right, yesterday my Diablo got here, so I just jumped right into it this morning.

I normally start my day at the office off with a nice scoop of Focus-XT and sip until lunch. I'm not a coffee guy. I love the smell, can drink it, but don't enjoy it. And if it's full of cream, sugar, flavorings, or anything else, I hate to break it to you, but it's no longer coffee -- it's a delicious cup of pre-diabetes lol. So I like to get my caffeine in via supplemental form.

Now I love FXT and will continue to use it unless something crazy happens. But I wanted to try something else and figured a fat burner would do about the same thing on the caffeine front and I didn't really lose out totally on the nootropic side by choosing Diablo.

Lime just sounded more of what I was in the mood for in the AM, so I rolled with that. I'd like to try the passion fruit sometime, so we'll see.

The directions say 1 scoop in 4-6 oz of water. That's great for most things -- which I slam. But for sipping, that's just no good. So I decided to do a scoop and a half (there are 60 scoops in the tiny tub) before jumping right into 2. I'd already filled my shaker with 14 oz of cold water, so I figured that'd work.

When I opened the tub, I thought, "Oh, crap. I got a bad batch." I thought it was all clumped up because it was a rather unpleasant brown color. I wasn't necessarily expecting green, but I guess expecting like a lighter white (similar to their creatine that I've used). Turns out it wasn't clumped, which was good, but mentally it was still a bit unappealing. I apparently just associate brown with cissus powder now and that stuff is FOUL lol.

A quick dump into the water and Holy Colors, Batman! It immediately looks like you were just dumping out a barrel of food coloring! It turns a deep emerald green and somehow almost looks blueish, too.

Got it all shaken up and it foamed a tad, but went right back down and didn't separate in the shaker very much as it sat, either, which was great.

It had a nice taste. Not overpowering and not exactly the light hint of lime I was kind of expecting. Hard to describe, really. Though when mixed, it does totally look like Ecto Cooler lol.

That was about 6 hours ago and energy is still nice. Never felt any highs (granted, caffeine in general never really does that to me, anyway). Didn't feel any increased warmth or any noticeable sides for that matter, but I did have my normal level of focus in the office, which is good.

I'll add to this after trying it some more, but wanted to share this. I think it's a good product and it's flavored well and the size of the tub (TINY!) is great. The only thing I'd like changed is the artificial (I'm just assuming the way it turned out lol) dyes removed. Because it was a pain to get them out of my shaker after sitting just a few hours. Just keep that in mind. Save for that, I'd recommend it based off my first try.

I wish I could remember what had done it, but quite a few months back on 2 occasions, I had green stool. And even the water looked like it had green dye in it, too (not from urine, though). It was really strange and I was never able to pinpoint the cause.
