I rarely add salt to my meals..mainly spices, or combos that include sodium, just wondering if I used a salt. sub. like Potassium "something"..if there are any downsides.

I use splenda w/ no problems, just wondering if the same could be done w/ salt. (...as long as I'm getting suff. sod., just don't want excess which causes mild bloating at times)

Well, how do you know splenda caused no problems? If by "no problems" you mean "my dick didn't fall off" than no, potassium chloride won't give you any problems.

However, who the hell knows what that will do down the road. Have you taken splenda for 50 years? How do you know the long-term effects it might have? Same with potassium chloride.

Personally I'd stick with sea salt.

stevia...i've seen it offered as as sweetener at proteinfactory, but is it available at reg. grocery stores..I'm not familiar w/ it.

btw. I tried a salt sub. ..potassium for the first time...I threw it out, I'd rather eat salt less food than that.

Not sure if you'd find stevia at a normal grocery store, but you should definitely find it in a health food store. I'm no expert at brands, though, but I do know some have less of the "stevia taste" to them which tastes better.
