Any you guys in here have daughters?

My family is very male dominated. For some reason we just seem to reproduce twice as many boys as girls. Anyway, I was back home from school at a buddy's house who I used to hang out at a lot back in high school. He's got two little sisters that are great girls. When I saw the older of the two girls I couldn't believe what I was seeing. When I first met my buddy's sister she was a very skinny 11 year old girl. I come over to his house and now she's 15, a freshman in high school, and was getting ready to go to her first dance. She was so excited, and kept spraying on perfume and talking about what cute boys she might see.

I was really having a hard time even fathoming this change of a little girl becoming a young lady. I'm just thinking that if I end up having some daughters, I'm going to lose my mind when they get to that age and start developing and looking at boys. How the hell can any father/older brother/any male figure possibly handle this without going crazy? What do you guys do when you notice your "little girl" is changing?

I have two, one 21 and one 18 (and no I'm not posting any pics up) and a Grandaughter.

It's a hard question, it's been difficult sometimes. Certainly when they were teens, but you just get on with it and be the best dad you can.

I dont have a girl myself but I became the legal responsible for my 14yo cousin when my uncle and his wife both died in an accident.. so she's kinda like my daughter

she was already 14 when she moved in to my place and now she's 17 so I havent seen the real changes but yeah I see what you mean, everytime she speaks about a boy she met I'm like hey is he good? take him home some day.. i'll question him a little bit..

Last time she did bring one 17yo boy home for dinner, and I was wearing this t-shirt that's become too small since my last cycle, I had my protein shake in one hand and my boxing gloves in the other hand about to pack my bag to go boxing.. I looked to him straight in the eyes and said "so you're this guy dating my cousin.. hello". The next day she told me that her friend was shaking when I left and he said he is never going to mess with her LOL bodybuilding is powerful

My eldest is married as well, and the youngest is living with the boyfriend. Nice to have the place to ourselves at last.

Yeah I think I'm just going to have to do the same. Fortunately I am a large human being, and I don't intend to "get skinny" when my athletic career is over. I won't weigh nearly 300 pounds any more, but I still want to weigh 250 something with a nice balance between size and definition. And if that doesn't scare the boys then I think I'll need to have a 12 gauge ready
