I will be very shortly :). There's a chemical study forum more suited to home brewing discussion. Do you have a question or just looking to see who has brewed?

I was just seeing whos brewed really. i got some homebrew from a friend of mine, im alittle skeptical about the quality. can a homebrew be as high quality as a top ugl?

It can conceivably be better but it's dependent on the the brewer.

My sentiments exactly and the reason I want to brew.

I could go for that lol
Like the sounds of brewing your own, will have to research the ingredients and method.

I have access to a nice clean lab.

Shit i could make a fortune here in OZ.... you wouldn't believe the standard going rate over here...

Those of you who home brew: what would you estimate the mark-up is on some of the more popular sources on these boards for completed products (just an estimate, because of the obvious differences in economies of scale, skill, facilities, etc)? Price talk is not permitted here, but your estimate can help me understand how lucrative the underground AAS business is. Thank you.

Depends on your material sources but it's much more expensive to buy premade gear.
But there is a reason for that, you're paying for someone else to take the risk and that's a big part of it.
"They" don't usually go after the end user, it's the guy importing, manufacturing and distributing that gets the attention. Some will gladly pay to be behind that layer.

The first batch will cost more than buying UGL simply because of the setup required.

Very good points, 71Avido.

One other thing that I just thought of regarding that business (and I guess a warning in case anyone wants to change careers!): A user can only buy some many grams of AAS in a year. It is not like a pot dealer or a bootlegger where the same customer can be a steady income stream week after week. So in order to make a living doing this, one would have to have many, many clients. And more clients increases the likelihood of problems with LE. I wonder how many sources are actually hobbyists with a small clientele and a day job and how many make their entire living from serving the AAS community.

Immediately upon discovering raws, I am brewing my own. Fuck this not knowing shit. I'm on week 4 of Geneza's line of test and I am shitting myself in anticipation. Did I get ripped off, did I NOT get ripped off? Do I feel it? Do I not feel it? Fuck this noise.

Not to mention the issue of sterility and having people's lives in one's hands. It's not something anyone should just jump into. If you get a death or health problems from a bad batch the heat could possibly be on. With the amount of corners the average end user cuts it's only a matter of time before they start cutting corners on the brewing process.

If I can add one thing, just be safe. Hygiene is the key. Sterilise everything and take your time. If you suspect you fucked up a vial through whatever means, throw it out. An example of this is I made a little batch (I literally only brew enough for me and my best mate - fuck being busted with traffickable quantities of gear) and one of the vials had a tiny, tiny little nylon looking fibre in it. How did it get in there? Fucked if I know, but that vial went in the bin. Your health and the welfare of others who will be using it (and I hope you're not planning on selling it) should be your number one concern.
