Are any of the premade meal diet programs any good?

My wife is looking to shift into using a premade meal diet program, mostly because she is now cooking for one (since I make my own foods). She also does not like eating the same exact thing for months on end, and I have no problem with it (lots of chicken does not bother me and it is cheap). So I am wondering if anyone knows of any of the premade dieting meal programs that are actually any good. I know more is paid to have someone create the meals into those packages, but we are fine with that.

Diet to go looks good, but it is around $500 a month for just one person!

its very expensive...

what programs do you have available to you?? email me with whats available ill tell you whats best for her

Get her on board with 3J! Then you guys can cook together, or at least see results together. Most of the prepackaged stuff I've seen is either crazy high in sodium or has a shitty macro ratio, favoring carbs a bit too much imo.

I signed my wife up with 3J a year or so ago, and she really took to it. Helps her learn how and what to make, as well as gaining a better appreciation for what she puts in her body. Cracking open a frozen box doesn't do any of that, and as you noticed - costs an arm and a leg.

My .02c :)

Yeah, I wish I could convince her to do that. One of the big problems is me - I tend to go overboard and completely throw myself into what I do. I also have no problem eating the exact same meal for months on end, so she sees me eating chicken and vegetables, every day, several times a day, for months...to the point where she is slightly repulsed by the smell of chicken.

Just think if you got her on board though. There are many alternatives to chicken that I bet she'd be happy to experiment with once she starts seeing results.

I'm the same way man, I can literally eat the exact same thing every single day, but if you can get her involved - it will be better for both of you.

Then again, she has to be ready. Can't force changes on someone, no matter how good the intentions.

She is not ready yet - one small victory at a time. Turns out, Schwans now has a healthy line as part of their delivery service that is pretty good. Gives the right amount of fats, protein, and carbs without killing you on the sodium side. This is my small victory - a healthy premade diet. One small step at a time...maybe in a year or two she will be posting before and after 3J pics and winning the contests around here. :)
