I'm going to see a sports med doc this week but I wanted to see if any of you have any insight on this issue I'm dealing with. I've been training hard for a little over a year now and this is the third time I've got this extreme pain around my tricept/elbow area. It's fine until like my third set of really any upper body exercise. It doesnt matter if it's bicept or tricept exercises, I still get this pain that kills my workout. Usually I just take a week or so off and 800mg of ibuprofen and the pain goes away. Also just to note, the pain is only there during and for a hour or so after workout. Well this time I took 12 days off and tried it again. Still having the same pain but I noticed the back tricept area of my arm (extending 2/3 of the way up from my elbow to shoulder) gets real dark red almost like a sunburn. It also had a little purple ish color but not much, Any idea what would cause this isolated area of dark redness post workout? I'm starting to get a little worried about being a more serious injury. I have real good power during my lifts but 15 seconds after the reps the pain comes on like a freight train.
