Arrrg! Damn Sugar Cravings are horrible...make it stop!

so yeah...this really sucks...i recently started doing cardio (grr...and boy do i hate it) along with plyometrics (i really screwed up my arm somehow...so no real weight for about 3-4 more weeks...

so i decided to go ahead and try to lose some pounds i accumulated during the summer...

the diet is grand now that i have the money to eat all whole foods and cook everything i eat...BUT..i've noticed that with this moderate intensity cardio (and usually only on days that i do the cardio) i have INTENSE sugar cravings that are worse than ANY addiction i've ever experienced (yeah..done em all really)...it's all i can think about until i get it --it being a whole pint of ice cream...or 2 king size reeses pb cups ---

How the hell do you make these things go away...i'm known by my friends for having fantastic will power...but not when it comes to this

any one know of anything that can satiate this feeling without all the crap?

maybe hoodia or chromium picolinate? i dunno
 
When the cravings set in, go brush your teeth. I know it sounds crazy, but if you still want something sweet go try it. Everything tastes bad right after you brush your teeth.

spree and twizzlers...how did you discover that?

and whats really cool is i ONLY get the cravings at night...so that may come in handy

Yeah, try either of those right after brushing your teeth and you'll never want them again... I get the late night sweet tooth thing too when i'm on low carbs and dieting. HTH
 
Some suggestions

When Im dieting something that works really well for me is sugarfree gum... Like Juicy Fruit (all flavours), bubble gum etc. But I usually chew more than one piece at a time- gives me some satisfaction when I cant eat.
Also, drinking diet pop will fill up your stomach so youre less likely to feel hungry and therefore less likely to get cravings. Coffee is something else I drink a lot of, so is Crystal Light... Oh, you could also eat sugar free jello (its sweet and has vitually no carbs/calories).
Once you stop giving into your cravings they will go away- you have to give it a little while tho, but trust me you will crave sugar less and less :)

1/3 cup of oatbrand with 1and1/2 cup of water in a bowl into the mirowave after add slanda and stir.only 140 cals with 5 grAMS OF FIBER.the water and fiber sould fill you up and the slanda will give you the sweet taste for your sweet tooth.You might have to put the oatbrand in the mirowave for awhile so it can absorb all the water.
 
i do the same thing. You have to use old fashioned oats, not the quick cooking kind, or else there isn't enough fiber. I add cinnamon along with the splenda. That always hits the spot. Another thing i do(it grosses my friends out) ...I add splenda to cottage cheese and mix fruit with it. It looks like something the dog threw up but it tastes like strawberry shortcake to me. that doesnt sound bad to me! you just made me hungrier haha

Sometimes I'll drink some lemonade, a big glass with lemon juice and splenda. That usually works for me.

When I'm pms'ing I crave either sweets and salty foods...I usually induldge in something salty, it's the lesser of 2 evils. LOL

i've been doin the jello thing..diggin it..but do you know what happened to me?!

i work for a franchised cellular store...we had our grand openning saturday/sunday...my fucking boss went and bought 3 dozen dougnuts of various sizes and kinds...and hamburgers, chocolate, and hot dogs...that FUCKER! in two days i gained back all the fat i had lost...haha

i just cant stand to see food wasted

....i think im going to try the popsicle thing as well...i got some sugar/fat free puddin' too

alll stocked up on chicken, broccoli, yams, and jello products now
