Aspirating on a first cycle.

ForeverAesthetic

I am banned!
So basically I'm doing my first cycle and I've just started the third week. The first few times I pinned I aspirated quite easily as the plunger moved reasonably easily. However more recently I literally haven't been able to move the plunger at all to aspirate, so I just ended up pinning anyway. I keep getting conflicting information on aspirating. Some say always do it because there is no point risking your life. Others say it's a waste of time and you won't die. I personally find aspirating fucking annoying, especially when I can't even pull back on the plunger. It gets to a stage where I'm pulling so hard I'm worried the needle will snap if I lose my grip, a heap of muscle will go into the syringe or something like that. So basically can you guys tell me if I can go the rest of my cycle without aspirating?

I really don't want to die, and my mate who aspirates all the time said he's pulled back blood a few times so he's adamant on aspirating all the time. Also, so if you inject into a vein you a guaranteed to die? You just drop dead? I really don't know what to do. I'm tossing up between just quitting my cycle or continuing while risking my life with never aspirating. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

if your in a vein even the slightest pull would draw blood. If everyone who injected into a vein died don't you think youd be hearing about it.

No need to play tug of war with the damn thing. Just a slight nudge bud. Like he said above if it is in a vein you will know.

Agreed...you would definitely know it. On another note: what size pin are you using? Smaller gauge pins can sometimes get a clog in the barrel. Not just from gear, but also from skin and/or tissue causing a clog. You can usually push past it, but it is nearly impossible to pull past it since it is at the tip of the pin.

If you ever try Tren, you would know if you nick a blood vessel too! You've undoubtedly heard of Tren Hack...a lot of research that I have read tends to point to nicked blood vessels being a large percentage of the cause for Tren Hack....Tren entering the blood stream...you can even taste it in your mouth. On the odd occasion where I have nicked a vessel (and it HAS happened on a couple of occasions) you will have an odd taste in your mouth.....it's a strange sensation, for sure! Will it kill you? I suspect only if you are injecting IV :) a nicked vessel should be avoided, absolutely....but it does happen sometimes.

Well just so you know, in my nursing experience we have been taught that aspiration is not necessary. The only method we use with IM is called Z-track. This is where you pull the muscle to the side prior to injection and then release after the injection. This method is thought to "trap" the injected fluid and prevent leaking. Anyway, we give many dangerous drugs via IM without aspirating. There is nothing wrong with doing it or not doing it. IMO the odds of you actually being in a vein while doing an IM (which should be done between 45-90 degree angle) are very slim. You may pierce it on your way in, but to actually be in it, I doubt. Even when doing an IV into a relatively large vein, one must be extremely delicate in order to prevent going in one side of the vessel and out the other. gl.

I think its good for the newbs to aspirate. You'll learn pretty quickly where your body wants you to pin, and eventually aspirating isn't really a big deal. Either way it isn't a big deal and if you hit a vein you won't die.
Normal worst case (which I've experienced), you cough like an emphyzema patient for a couple minutes and get a sudden head rush... Then life moves on.

This is true. Thanks man. Sometimes it feels like I can't pull back on the plunger at all, but I guess if there was blood then it would come out easily.

I'm using a 25G one inch needle for both my quads and glutes. I won't lie, sometimes it's in a uncomfortable part of my quad so I pull out and try again. Not hit any nerves yet and I don't fucking want to lol.

Yeah I heard in the medical world that aspirating isn't necessary anymore. Thanks for the information mate.

You don't need to aspirate.

Thanks.

Ive never aspirated =X (pinned delts, glutes, quads)

Fair enough and thanks.

Yeah I've aspirated for the first week and a half, now it seems pointless. I got a mate who doesn't aspirate anymore either.

This. I and the World Health Organization agree. ;)

Thanks buddy.

^^

on an avg i draw blood once per cycle.. so i am doing it..

Fair enough man. I haven't drawn any yet or hit a nerve. So I am hoping I don't.

just put the needle in and then nudge the plunger slightly in a backward direction. you'll often get a touch of red in the tip even before aspirating if you're actually somewhere you shouldn't be. if you're literally in a vein that little nudge will start bringing a trail of blood in and you can adjust. most people end up pushing the needle in further, pulling it out, or slightly moving it to one side or the other while they actually injecting the fluid anyway, making the aspiration completely pointless anyway.

Well put it this way, you dont need to pull very hard to notice blood. Think of when you get a blood test, are they using much force? Just a little pull is fine and yes, you need to aspirate every time..
