I recently started eating more beans. I don't really like potatoes anymore. If I mix them w/ rice would you think this acceptable source of carbs. I dont mean baked beans. I mean pinto, navy, etc.
beans are excellent, they are cheap, have a fairly decent protein content--hopefully you do not have trouble digesting them--many people have serious difficulty with beans.
I don't put beans in my diets for individuals because I feel there are better choices, however if you want and your body responds then go for it. Beans are high in protein and carbs and really do taste great with rice.
God i'm craving a Chipotle burrito right now......
