Best Creatine to take for Collegiate Athletes

I'm a Collegiate Lacrosse player , and i was wondering what the best creatine is that I should take. I've heard alot about creatine monohydrate but im not sure if thats good to take compared to something else

I like to keep it simple. No creatine has been studied as much as mono. Plus, it's cheap. I'm currently using Primordial's creapure and have no complaints.

CreaPure has given me the best results over any other mono out there. Like Bikeswimlive said monohydrate is the most studied form, it's cheap and effective.

Ask your school's AD for a list of approved supplements and pick a creatine off there. If take a supplement not accepted by your school you're going to get banned from the team.

Also, if you're going to pick one on your own be sure to consult the NCAA list. Otherwise if you get caught you'll probably never play a college sport again.

Supplements as an NCAA athlete are very closely monitored....just because the list might say "creatine mono" is ok, for example, doesn't mean that EVERY creatine mono is ok....it's a tight line....

Creatine should be fine with Mono being the king so far. May or may not cause some bloating, that is very dependant upon your physiology.

The 2010 NCAA banned substances list. It would do good to keep an eye on it each year if your going to use supps.

Kre Akalyn i get no bloat and some nice strenght gains which was good cuz i was a wrestler that had to be careful with anything that would put on bloat

Personally I use creapure, I used it when I played football in college, as mentioned above, just be careful with some of products, its not the creatine but rather some of the additional add ons to the products that may be on the banned list.

I had a kid argue with me, convinced that creatine was on that list. I pulled up the 2010-2011 list and he still wanted to argue with me. Oh well, creatine will always be steroids to those who refuse to learn. :Pat:

Anyway op, this would be a good link for a good way to dose creatine monohydrate (like our Creapure,) that should minimize bloating, maximize muscle saturation, and minimize cost.

The Optimal Creatine Dosing Schedule:

First 2 days of creatine supplementation - Load with 10g, 2 times a day (20g per day)

After the loading phase of 20 g daily for 2 days, maintenance should be 2 g per day, Any extra is simply urinated out.

Only repeat the loading phase if you discontinue use for more than 28 days.

All th research showing the benefits are with monohydrate, and you need to make sure you are getting the highest quality possible such as Creapure. I am interested in the creatine nitrate, so far there is really good feedback on it.

Love hearing the fact so many are using Creapure creatine. simple, effective, cheap and works just as well as all the other exotic creatines or better.

There is an old phrase...if it ain't broke...don't fix it. In essence, no matter how much a supplement company hypes up their creatine product creapure creatine mono is still king.

Cheers!

Damn right, I made the switch a year ago, and no need to switch back.
