For protein powder I like Gaspari Myofusion - good for all times of the day except late at night before bed, at which time I use Optimum Nutrition 100% Casein.
Recently I've been trying out ON Platinum Hydroway and haven't been disappointed either.
There's a good sticky on the different types of protein powder, eg whey concentrate, whey isolate, whey hydrolysate, etc etc
Myofusion is a nice blend of a few types of protein, which is why I like it - and it contains whey hydrolysate, which is great for pwo because hydrolyzed isolate (hence hydrolysate) can be more readily catabolized into free aminos and taken up into your muscle cells.
