Best practice disposal of empty vials

What's best practice for disposing of empty vials?

Are we meant to recycle them or just regular garbage?

I am not aware about any recycling program, if there is any then pharmacy would be a place to collect it.

I'm not sure if the borosilicate glass that they use is recyclable... and if the vial is empty it doesn't really pose a danger. I put them in the trash.

I worry more about nosy people finding them than I do about recycling them.

I flush it down the toilet back in the day I mean, just crush it and flush

I'm probably of the few who doesn't throw them away. i have a chest/container in the back of my closet hidden and it locks and i keep all the empty vials I've used in there. this started with a girlfriend that lived at my place and i figured i should hide them. then it slowly turned into me putting all the empty vials into it. i figure in about 3-4 more years it will be pretty full and ill have to figure something out.

I take the labels off and wrap them in duct tape and put them out with the regular garbage...If there is a milk carton or empty cereal box in the garbage i just put inside that.
