Blood work by a doctor instead of online?

I know the sites to use to get blood work done by yourself but I was wondering if any of you get your blood work done by your doctor. Basically I had my wife call my doctor today to see if he could refer me for blood work to get my test and estrogen levels check just out of curiosity. I'm still waiting on the response but I pretty sure he's going to send me for them. I was just wondering if any of you guys go down this method or just by pass it and pay online. Thanks.

PS. I am not on a cycle at the moment but I plan on doing one in the next couple of months, just waiting on an injury to heal and my HCG to be ordered. This would be considered my pre-cycle blood test.

I've tried that and it was like pulling teeth. He didn't understand why I would want my estrogen checked and made the comment that I was watching too much late night television (infomercials). I don't know if eventually the insurance company might start asking why?

My excuse was that I read acne is caused by raised estrogen and since I take medication for acne I wanted to see what my test and estrogen levels were at. I'm still waiting to hear back from the doctor but from what my wife said they didn't seem to be bothered by them referring me for a test.

Sure, it's how you get prescribed TRT, and remain on it. If I was on a cycle however, NO - I would NOT involve my doctor. You don't want him AND your insurance company seeing a total testosterone of 4k; it's considered drug abuse. ;)

My .02c :)

I only planned on doing it for my pre cycle blood work .. My other two tests I plan on paying online. My doctor said he will do the blood work he just wants to give me a physical so it actually worked! Lol

Yes do not let your DR test your T if you are on cycle. Yes they are bound by Client / Dr confidentiality. But that information will remain in your record and if you apply for Disability Insurance, or other medical insurance you have to waive that right and allow the insurance to review the medical records. At which point they can deny you Disability Insurance or raise your rates. You should ask to review your medical information on a periodic basis. Unfortunately my DR tested my T as part of a different battery of tests. I was on cycle and never thought to ask since he never said he did. When applying for disability insurance I was denied. When I requested to know why, they pointed to a test which indicated I led a high risk life style.

Thanks Fatty, I will get my blood work independently when I start my cycle and when I'm finishing up. I go on Thursday for my physical and to get a referral for my blood work so hopefully nothing changes and I can get this done without any further issues.

I do a dirty trick, she prescribe me bloodwork for Thyroid or something else and I add with a pen Testosteron, e2, lh, fsh.
