Greetings gentlemen,
I'm looking for a little advice at getting my blood work dialed in. My story:
51 yrs old, 5'11/210, weight training for over half my life. I ran several cycles in my late twenties and into my late thirties, but I was completely natural from 1999 until the summer of 2012. Looking for a little kick, I decided to run a ten week tren/prop 100mg EOD cycle. Well, I have to say the results were life changing. Not only did my physique improve, but my overall sense of wellness went through the roof, and I literally felt fifteen years younger. So now of course, I say screw the post cycle therapy (pct), I'm going to go the blast and cruise route, as I'm liking this testosterone stuff.
The only test I had available in September for my cruise was Sustanon 250. I decided I would split the injections to 1/2 ml twice a week. Four weeks into it, into early November, I'm still feeling great and had my blood drawn at labcorp. It came back with the following markers all high:
RBC 6.11
hemocrit 52.8
AST (SGOT) 50
LDL cholest calc 130
estradiol 61.3
C-reactive protein 3.52
free test 26.1
Okay, so I donate blood, hop on armidex .25/.50 2x week, pound the milk thistle for AST, and continue to eat clean for my chol (my diet usually consists of high protein/moderate fats, with very low carbs). I wasn't too concerned about the C-reactive protein, because from what I've read, there are a few different things that can throw that off, and I had just aggravated an old elbow tendon injury when I had that draw.
I decided to wait until last week to get a re-draw, as my diet went to shit with holiday binging from Christmas Eve until New Years Day, and I wanted a couple of weeks of clean eating under my belt before I went. This time the issues were:
RBC 6.19
hemacrit 52.7
creatinine 1.37
eGFR if non AA 59 (low)
AST (SGOT) 43
Chol 203
HDL 34 (low)
LDL chol calc 150
T chol/HDL ratio 6.0
free test 38.0
So the good news was my C-reactive protein was fine, my Estradiol was down to 14.1 (maybe even a little too low), and my AST at least was heading in the right direction. The bad news of course, is now my Cholesterol is a mess, and my kidney markers are too high (my BUN is also at 23, with the top number before high being 24).
So if you're still with me, I have two questions. My first draw was done the morning of a shot day, that is, it had been three and a half days since my last shot. My second draw was taken one day after after a shot. Could having a draw so close after a shot send my markers up?
Also, would lowering the dose help? My current plan is now to inject once every six days for four weeks and go back for more blood work. I've read some people feel 250mg a week is too high for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) (though I feel the prop in Sustanon (sust) is moslty wasted by not going EOD) , but during my lurking here I see several guys are doing up to 300/350 a week. I also now have test e available.
Any comments appreciated, I really would hate to have to stop.
