Blood work results need advice please

Your testosterone level is indeed low. Nothing else in there would cause me grave concern - a few of those numbers could use some improvement. Just a wild guess ... you work out but could lose a few pounds. Perhaps you could post your approximate age, height weight ... stuff like that. Also, how are you feeling these days. Also, were you on TRT before or have you used steroids before?

44 5'9 270. Definitely have to loose some weight. Went through a bitter divorce and really let myself go over the last 9 months. Currently signed up with 3J s and they are going to help with diet and workout program. I came to the forum looking to get steroids to get buff and back in the game. Instead I learned so much about AAS' s that I know I need to get diet and bf% down before I'd even think about a cycle. Not on TRT. I did a cycle a year ago under the guidance of the local gym guru. 250mg test and tren every 3.5 days. No AI no HCG and no pct. He really didn't advise me to we'll and I didn't educate like I should have.

I feel really bad that's why I went for blood work to see if something was wrong

Get with a doctor to discuss pulling an lh/fsh with estradiol panel as well. Your elevated a1c and glucose levels are very likely suffering from having such low testosterone levels.

Your diet needs some serious work given your cholesterol, but 3J will definitely get you on the right track there. You did the right thing investigating your hormones, just need to fill in a couple blanks (at least I didn't see lh/fsh/E2 on there) to get a better idea on what's happening under the hood.

Definitely keep reading everything you can here. The gym guru may have seriously injured your HPTA with such a harsh cycle, or you may have had an underlying issue all along.

Once you get that diet and hormone imbalance squared away, you'll definitely start to see fantastic results in a few months. Just stick with it, and don't give up.

My .02c :)

Thanks. I will bring up those tests with doc on follow up next week. He's alot of horror stories about general prac Dr's not understanding how to treat low T. Do these numbers look like TRT numbers?

Definitely hypogonadal range for TT. As Halfwit said, you need to get follow up labs. Recheck TT. Get LH, FSH, Estradiol and Prolactin checked.

Don't ask your doc for these labs. If he/she doesn't order them on his/her own, demand that these labs be run. Before you leave your next appt, verify what blood tests will be ordered.

I'm 170 ng/dl....
I can relate to how you feel. I'm going back on something....FAST. it's no way to live.

Had follow up appoint on Monday to review BW. Dr want to start TRT. I suggested we do a another blood test to check LH/FSH as advised he agreed he ordered LH/FSH, female hormone panel and Free /Total test which i had drawn this morning . I also started a new diet and workout on Monday as planned be 3js. And so the marathon begins

New blood work results couldn't get pic to load so entered manually. So can we tell if my HPTA is functioning properly or could it use a restart? I have a follow up with DR next week to discuss TRT

Ordered Items: Testosterone,Free and Total; FSH and LH; Estrogens, Total; Venipuncture

TESTS RESULT FLAG UNITS REFERENCE INTERVAL LAB

Testosterone,Free and Total

Testosterone, Serum 102 Low ng/dL 348 - 1197 01
Comment:
Adult male reference interval is based on a population of lean males
up to 40 years old.

Free Testosterone(Direct) 4.2 Low pg/mL 6.8 - 21.5 02

You are severely secobdary hypogonadal. TT of 102ng/dl is terrible.

Don't check Total Estrogen in the future. You need to check estradiol.

Ok. With these results would you think it's ok to start TRT?

This just indicates that you have secondary hypogonadism. You need to try and see if you can determine the cause before beginning TRT. Pituitary tumor? High Prolactin? Sleep apnea? Diet? Poor sleep or not enough sleep? Stress? Certain diseases?

ideally you would run some more tests with your doc to see if you can get to the bottom of things. But sometimes there is no apparent cause and TRT is the answer. You should also try doing an HPTA restart before beginning TRT. Try to get your natural test production working again if possible.

Definetly have had a poor diet currently a 3js client started 2 weeks ago 3000 cal carb cycling diet I see an improvment there. So Hcg 250 iu twice a week and a pct dosage of clomid?

Welcome!!

As Megatron has mentioned you are hypogonadal and from the looks of it it is secondary. There is a very good chance that your cycle from a year ago has caused this as you shut yourself down and did not do anything preventative for once the cycle ended such as HCG or a PCT. You could try a restart but with your TT that low and at your age it might not work and if it did you would still probable be borderline hypogonadal. I was faced this the exact same dilemma a year ago and after doing some research and discussing with my doctor we both felt that starting TRT was the best course of action.

It has been a life changer for me and I have no regrets getting on TRT even though it is a lifelong commitment. The decision however is a decision you should make for yourself, don't let anyone else make that decision for you. Congrats on hooking up with 3J, I did his diet a year ago and it helped me a great deal.

Good Luck!

Prolactin look good. Estradiol is low because your Total Testosterone is low. There just isn't that much test available to aromatize. Unless you can figure out the cause and correct it (e.g. sleep apnea) you will need TRT.

Have you done any further investigation, besides Prolactin, into the things mentioned in Post #15?

Over the last year alot of stress went th ftough a bitter divorce. I work shift work so sleep suffers sometimes when I'm on nights. I am working on diet with 3 js.

I have a Dr appoint tomorrow as like before he will probably suggest TRT. He asked me to investigate what my insurance would cover I did they cover alot of optons

I'm thinking about IM test ethane.

What should I want use:
250mg a week
Any AI?
Hcg
