I trained and studied using AAS 30 before my first cycle at 42. The confinement of a wheelchair during my first test 300mgs didn't stop me from adding 12 lean pounds to my upper body.
All my cycles have been modest mg's and nothing short of WOW. I'd go ON make gains and PCT with good to great success (so I thought).
Some information that will bring this together in closing: I've never been a big protein consumer. 1g/2.2lbs of body weight works, anything over is simply expensive piss and with all the antibiotics and hormones in meats: high dollar toxic piss.
I've posted pics of me at 20 and at 26 all natty so I won't beat that dead horse, you guys have seen "that guy's on steroids" is something I heard all my life. And I didn't take in what I consider ridiculous amount of protein.
Before I left another board I Guenna Pig'd myself and went to 2 grams of protein/ pound of body weight. Nothing changed!
I went ON cycle during this high protein run and nothing changed, I went on a cruise of low mgs and nothing changed.
I went for routine blood work as part of the standard testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) program to get script AI's.
Expecting a phone call to sell me my script (that is what these testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) guys do for a living) I got a phone call to "donate blood today". "stop any and all AAS you're on, stop everything NOW". I was asked about my protein intake and that too was "NOW, cut that back NOW"

I cannot fill my script. They didn't try to sell me anything except OTC products that I was directed to purchase at any health food or vitamin store. These people didn't give a hoot to sell me anything just get me healthy again.
3 weeks later my numbers are just entering upper range(still nothing great)but dropping everyday.
Here's that deal: I was full, ripped and hard with veins popping out. I was strong, but yes a little tired but figured the bunk AI's were the smoking gun.
The smoking gun was kidney function of a 70 year old man. A red blood cell count adding to the restriction of my GFR everyday. The protein was along with the RBC's causing irreversible damage.
I want you guys to learn from me, not the way I did. Especially you guys up in my years (I am 48). Bloodwork is cheap, your health is priceless.
I'll tell you the worst part was the look on my lady's face. I don't ever want to see her scared like again.
Once again: BLOODWORK IS INEXPENSIVE !!
Your health and well being cannot be bought or replaced.
As I of all people preach preach: Less is more, well not when it comes to blood work.
