Has anyone tried a keto diet but remain in calorie surplus? Most people bulk using carbs but what if a person bulked by using fats and proteins?

its very much so possible.. but its also an advanced diet.. bulking with carbs is easier

its not as simple as that...

keto is abouttkeeping your carb content extremely low and your fat intake high.. people dont know how to do that... they dont understand macros and cant count calories.. they dont know the diff between good and bad fats.. when to eat fats.. what carbs to take in and how to keep it minimal.... keto is psychologically the hardest diet to keep...

lets make this easier for the both of us... have you read through the first post of my free diet advice thread??? u can post up a keto diet and ill critique it for you for free...

i cant build you one because that's reserved for clients...

Sorry i havent written back yet......been very busy lately but i will get those numbers. I have started the palumbo diet for a 250 pound man today. I'd like to adjust from there.

Talk soon.

I finally found some time. Here are my stats and history,

38 years old
226#

14% caliper measured

tdee 3281

I am currently following the palumbo diet for a 250 pound man, and my only extra to that diet is my post workout shake is two scoops of whey with 2 teaspoons of olive oil.

My goal is to be 240# at 10%

My workouts consists mostly of compound movements and using reverse pyramid. I change up the exercises weekly.

The reason I was thinking about mass keto is because when I'm eating carbs such as rice, or sweet potatoes and such I get bloated and uncomfortable, I put on too much fat for my liking and I feel a little lethargic. I guess you can say I'm carb sensitive. I very much enjoy eating carbs but can't stand what they do to me afterwards.

Any help you have with this is appreciated.

Im on my second run on a Keto diet and yes it is a had one to get on but once your a couple weeks into it you will find it easier.
If you plan on bulking this way I would be interested in your results.
I have often wondered how a keto bulk would work. You would surely get some lean gains if you ate clean.
