Cardio after weight training?

Ok, I have never been a fan of doing cardio and haven't been consistant w/it.
I moved to a different city and got a member ship at a fairly big gym. I have been pretty consistant at doing cardio. I usually work out (with weights) for 1-1.5hrs and then do cardio on the elliptical for 30 min(4x per wk). after my weight training then i take my protein shake w/carbs. One of the guys at the gym said doing cardio would limit my gains 2 virtually nothing. Is there any truth 2 that?? Am I over doing it??
I am trying to get really toned up 4 the summer and possibly gain a little muscle at the same time. I am completely natural at this time, but was considering some t-boosters 4 extra hlep.
thanks.
would walking on an incline be a better choice then the elliptical or what r any of your suggestions??

I wouldn't worry about cardio hindering your gains too much.

I like to use my fresh energy for the weights. Then I finish off the work out with cardio every other day, for only 20 minutes.

Just make that 20 minutes high intensity. Try to simulate sprinting on the elliptical (I love these machines!) every few minutes. 20 minutes eod should be all you need. Its not how much you do, but how you do it that counts.

Want to lose the weight in a hurry, naturally? Get the book "metabolic diet". For me at least, it worked wonders! And fast!
