guys what is your opinion on doing cardio while bulking up?

think it would be a good idea to do cardio 5 days a week while bulking?,i dont mean high intensity just like walking a hour 5 days a week.

i think it seems like a good idea sinnce your be keeping the fat off while adding lean muscle.

If your trying to bulk your best bet is no cardio at all. Eat a clean diet then you have no need to worry about fat. I mean if your bulking on fast food that is a different story. But eating clean, red meat, chicken, potatoes, oatmeal, etc you will have no problem. And no drinking either!

Cardio is excellent for bulking for many reasons.

1. Keeps your appetite up
2. Increses your protein tunover ratio
3. Increases your lung function which in turn increases your recovery between sets, which in turn increases intensity.

Just dont overdo it.

You're not going to be as effective in the gym if you don't have a strong cardiovascular system.
You won't be clearing lactic acid out of your muscles as quickly, and therefore will not be able to lift as much weight for as long.
In the deadlift, or other really heavy exercises, you may even find you run out of breath and your heart gets too fast before your back or legs have even had a good workout.

One should just add a few extra calories into their diet if they are that worried about cardio compromising their gains.

i've been using the eliptical machine and monitoring my heart rate for the past month and love it.works both upper and lower body cardio. i see excellent results.try it out
