Changed diet and routine but gassing bad during workouts

I tried some test cyp for my first cycle because I was going to Jamaica to get married to my hot ass wife. Im naturally a stocky guy (5'10" 185 my freshman year of high school). Now I'm 32 and now I'm more chubby than stocky (5'11" 220). I had recent blood work and my cholesterol and liver enzymes were shit. I'm picking up some L-Taurine and N-acety cysteine this weekend and started the insanity asylum two weeks ago.
THE PROBLEM
I have mild asthma and my knees are shit. I'm gassing easy as hell and I want to get the most out of these workouts. I have leaned my diet and dropped 7 lbs in the two weeks that i have changed my diet probably due to decrease in sodium and i quit smoking ganja regularly (always helped me sleep but terrible munchies) My strength training is fairly knowledgable due to good strength coaches from my football days but this getting older shit is a new kind of training. I read a lot of places that taking test before you get in decent shape was a waste but I am stubborn and I needed a push before my wedding. Now I'm in it for the long term and I do want to do another cycle but I'm hoping to keep the mass down and stay at or under 200. I've read about masteron and that sounds interesting and I am beginning to understand the products a little better.
MY QUESTION
What can I do to speed up the per-cycle process to get me where I want to be? I want more strength and energy to get through my workouts. I also don't want to wait a year to get where I want to be. Thanks
