contest preparation and protein shake

should we replace our protein shake with food during our contest preparation? and with what preference order?

If you're meeting your macro and micro needs than there's no reason to other than satiety. Whey is a very bioavailable source of protein, it's cheap and convenient, it's a complete source of protein, and IMO doesn't taste bad. The only real downside is it will not fill you up as much as say chicken or beef which can be crucial during contest prep as you're cutting your calories so low it becomes just as much of a mental game as physical.

what about consuming legumes such as chickpeas while on pre contest preparation....do they prevent me to get as ripped as possible?

I eat a lot of chickpeas in my diet and make lots of hummus from them. Chickpeas and most if not all legumes are incomplete protein sources so you have to make sure you're taking in enough grains to complete them or other whole protein sources to fill in the gaps in amino acids. Chickpeas are a great addition to any diet bc of the high fiber and protein content but the problem I see with them on a pre contest diet is that they're high in carbs. A typical pre contest diet is cutting down calories SEVERLY so you almost only have room for protein and necessary fats and MINIMAL carb intake to get rid of bloat, water retention, etc. chickpeas alphabet a decent amount of carbs so you'd have to find another place in your diet to cut out carbs

i am in a test e - boldenone cycle and i consume alot of regumew such as chickpeas as carb intake....i do not consume much carbs and the main source of carbs in my diets comes mainly from chickpeas, and secondly from homemade oatbread, sweet potatoes and some fruits...what do you think?

In that case make sure to hit your fat and protein macros and keep doing what your doing. So long as your macros are right and you're at a caloric deficit chickpeas aren't a problem as a main carb source.
