i was wondering of anyone here could offer some insight...experience

could excessive fructose (fruit) intake result in excessive fast acting insulin demand resulting in pancreatic?

say 200g carbs from fruit per day??

There is plenty of evidence showing EXCESSIVE fructose to cause a bunch of health issues, including the one you've mentioned.

But the chances of the average person consuming EXCESSIVE fructose is very, very low.
Remember that fruit actually contains a mix of fructose, glucose/fiber & sucrose with fructose making up about 10-20% of the total. So to get 150-200g of fructose (what seems to be the definition of excessive) you would need to consume 10-20+ portions of fruit every single day - no one does this.

Even with soda drinks that do contain a significantly higher level of fructose, we are still talking about 7-8 cans per day everyday. This is certainly doable, but individuals who do consume this amount probably need to have their entire diet/lifestyle evaluated from a health perspective.

thanks for the response zilla

the reason i asked is because... i was eating that much fruit a day, as i had a wholesale farmers outlet, and i loved fruit.. i am currently not taking in foods containing fructose if at all possible

The problem I have seen with people jumping on the "evil fructose" bandwagon is that they seem to forget the word EXCESSIVE. In normal doses, fructose does absolutely nothing detrimental to your health and skipping fruit due to the fear of fructose when you forget the awesome nutrient profile they have is, IMO, very stupid indeed.

The frankness of your post is appreciated :)
i dont think fructose is inherently evil lol,, i think it has its place for liver glycogen replenishment (and being tasty) i am just trying to reign in my consumption as i seem to be responding poorly to simple sugars.. doctor wants me check for kidney, pancrease and live function as diabetes runs in my family. i still eat avocado and rhubarb daily :) yumm

Don't forget, most fruit is balanced with fiber, which reduces the immediate glycemic impact. As an insulin dependent diabetic, I assure you that there are far worse foods out there that drive up blood glucose far faster.

But again, it is - and always has been about moderation. Avocados are far more notorious for their fat content by the way, but please don't let that stop you from enjoying them as a healthy source of fats. :)

actually having too much from fruit, I would not worry too much. now processed sugar? heck yeah! they use way too much of that crap and I would highly rec avoiding refined sugars or things with a bunch added to it.

------------------------------------------------------------cals fat fiber protein net-carbs
200g frozen/defrosting avocado -320 29.5 13.5 4 4
100g rubarb minced and frozen - 20 .5 1-2 1.5 1-2
100g romain lettuce ( weird i know) -30 .3 2.5 2 3.5
2/3 packets splenda - 5 0 0 0 1.5
1 packet of sugar free lemonmade mix -10 0 0 0 2.5
2 cups blended (snow) ice
salt to taste
you can add in protein powders if you wish

the most important things is that you full blend each ingredient then add the next, this will make the texture smooth like a frozen butter creme

I LOVE avocados! I used to avoid them because typical "its high in fat" left me as many that know nothing about diet, thinking well then it will make me fat, I'll eat rice cakes"... : /...
I LOVE them in everything now.
Never tried the ice cream LOL, but I love em.
