Deca homebrew question............

I just did my first batch of my own deca. My question is. Is 5% ba to much? i did 5%ba with 5% bb. Is that to high for ba?

It definitely sounds like it. Why not the usual 2-3%? Your BB sounds awfully low. Do you mean MLs? BB should be 15-20% for strengths ranging 200-300. Maybe I'm missing something here cause the numbers are quite skewed?

I've done a little research and can't quit find the answer to the bb. A local brewer said he did really well with the one i just posted. for a 10g conversion of deca it was 2.5ml of ba and 2.5ml of bb with 31.5ml of grape seed oil... it yields 50ml...

I think you've got the math wrong. 1g of deca displaces .962ml so 10g of deca displaces 9.62ml which when added to the 2.5ml BA, 2.5ml BB and 31.5ml of carrier oil you get a hair over 46ml

hmm i yielded 50 with those measurements. And i guess we will see. I have taken deca from my local brewer who did 5% ba with his deca batch and i didn't feel a thing... but we will see...

50 ml's total oil at 200mg/ml. I've ran my test 18% bb 2% ba. and the pip wasn't bad at all thanks for the help DreDay187 =) Thanks meathead for catching that

2%ba is all you ever need for homebrew. 1% is what most labs use. The 2% will help on the side of caution since we don't have a lab. There is no need for BB at all in deca or test enanthate up to 300mg unless you want to thin it out a bit for a 25g pin then 10% BB can be used for that.

Pharma companies use 1% BA and using anymore than 2% is juvenile. Even so, you don't even need BB with that so why add the extra chemicals to your body? BB is only a solvent and it's really not needed for many brews. Try some test at 1% BA and ZERO BB, you'll thank me later. This can be done with deca as well at 200-250 mg/ml.
