Delt red after pinning

I pinned front delt saturday around 5pm. I know now that front delt was a bad idea but I was looking around online for how to pin front delt since I wanted more than just the pictures on spotinjections to go by. I ended up in some thread on a steroid forum and literally everyone in the thread said to do front delt instead of side delt so I pinned 1.5cc Test Prop into my front delt 1" deep and it hurts like a motherfucker.

I noticed yesterday morning that it was kind of pink, in addition to being swollen. I took my temperature and had no fever, so I put some dots with a marker around it. This morning, it's expanded well past the dots I put but I still don't have a fever.

So its:
-swollen
-painful
-pinkish/red (like a sunburn)
-MIGHT feel slightly warm to the touch, but I can't really tell

**But I don't have any fever.

Would this be an infection or just something normal? I know for a fact I was 100% sterile and clean with this injection. I've been pinning the same stuff into my quads and glutes for 2 weeks now and they're fine. However I took a blood test last tuesday and my White Blood Cell count is high but that could be from anything. I don't feel sick at all.

Is it possible to have an infection without having a fever? I'd rather not stop the cycle unless I have a good reason to seeing as I don't have a lot of money and dropped a few hundred on this cycle. But ultimately health is more important so if the cycle needs to be stopped, I'll stop it, but there has to be a good reason. If it's just swollen and pink from hitting the front delt and having the needle come in and out a tiny bit then I'm going to continue. If it looks like an infection (even though there's NO Fever) then I'll stop and throw away a few hundred dollars.

Hey Ace, I was hoping someone with a little more knowledge would tackle this, but while we wait for them, I'll throw in my little bit. I've never used prop, never pinned front delts, and never had an infection, at least not from pinning myself. Since you've been using the same gear for 2 weeks without any problems, I really doubt the gear is bad, so I see no reason to throw it away or to stop your cycle. If it is an infection, you'll need antibiotics, but as far as I know, you should be able to take them and carry on with your cycle. Swollen, painful, and growing definitely sound like an infection. Infections grow and worsen really fast, so the sooner you can get antibiotics, the better. Good news is they also usually clear up pretty fast once you start treating them. BUT, I really don't know if that's what you've got, or if it's just a normal reaction to prop. Like I said, I'm hoping someone else will chime in. Good luck!

Whenever I pin my delts this happens to me.

Moving around too much, unsteady hands, ect.
As long as the fever doesnt arrive, and it doesnt get worse. You should be g2g.

Typically whenever i pin my delts i get a welt like that for about a week.

Well the redness got bigger over night which makes me worry but apparently it happens to other people's delts and is "normal". But then other people say that it's "obviously an infection" so I don't know who to listen to.

I don't have a welt it's just swollen and pinkish.

i cant say its not an infection. you dont have to have a fever either. if it worsens or starts to swell up more id go to the er. if it gets better then its definitely not infected or its mild enough not to worry.

there is nothing wrong with pinning front delts. you need to know what you are doing and have the ability to do it. that spot inject site is a joke. id hit the medical books or find a qualified medical professional to teach you if you have access.

Chances are you injected too much into a small muscle. Happened to me first, and only, time I injected into my biceps (2.5 mls, I wanted to try something new). You could also have irritated a nerve, although chances are you'd know it when you were injecting.

Did the pain and swelling start immediately? Or did it take a couple of days to occur? This is important as infections usually come along gradually while it is an irritation it would swell up rapidly and stay that way for a while.

Well I did pin 1.5cc into my front delt. My delts are a decent size but it's still definitely a small muscle. It felt kind of weird when I was injecting and the farther along in the injection the more it hurt. I also moved the needle slightly in and out while injecting. I started injecting with the 1" needle about halfway in and while aspirating and then injecting it ended up going completely in. When I got down to like .5-.25cc left it started hurting during the injection.

PIP came on basically immediately. I remember raising my arm like 5 minutes after my injection and it hurting decently bad. I don't remember exactly when the swelling happened but it was definitely swollen by the next morning. I pinned it at 6pm on saturday and it was swollen and pinkish red by Sunday noon/afternoon when I woke up. The pink/redness expanded during sunday and was bigger at night. I woke up this morning and the pink/redness has expanded even more but I can't really tell if it's expanded more throughout today since I woke up.

Ibuprofen is helping with the pain actually a lot. Without ibuprofen it hurts really bad but with ibuprofen it's still hurting but not as bad. I just worked out legs for the second time this cycle (first time was day 3 of the cycle and today is day 16) and then I hit the sauna and massaged it in there a bit and it's definitely feeling better now as far as pain, but the redness is still just as big as it was this morning and it's still swollen, but I'm not sure exactly HOW swollen it is. It may be slightly less swollen. I don't know if that's because of the ibuprofen or not though.

If it starts getting better by tomorrow should I continue the cycle or what? Would that mean it was red because of injecting too much into a small muscle or is it red because I've got an allergic reaction/infection?

If you've already been on for 2 weeks and this is the first problem, I would not stop, but that's me.

Yeah, just sounds like you put too much into a small muscle group and now your muscle is pissed at you. It'll go away after about a week, I speak from experience here, but it'll be pretty painful to lift until it goes away. Keep going on your cycle, but stick to pinning larger muscle groups.
