It started with 300 ng/dl and am now on a protocol of 110mg every 6 days. My current level is just shy of 1100 ng/dl and my endo wants me to switch to Nebido. This is 1000 mg of testosterone undecanoate every 8 to 12 weeks. Based on my blood results.
Nebido has the benefit of one big injection of 1000mg every 8 to 12 weeks. I asked the doctor for every 8 weeks and the doctor has agreed on this, but has to follow protocol for the first 2 injections.
The disadvantage will be its price. Currently it is costing me $13 a month. Switching to Nebido will cost me $86 a month. Staying with Test.E will save me $876 a year.
I don’t mind injecting once every 6 days or week, but Nebido seems to be more stable based on research papers. And has the major advantage of not having to worry about travel and taking it with me when flying and staying outside the country for more than a week. Something I do 1x to 2x a year.
What should I do? Is it worth the extra money to switch to Nebido?
