Has anyone heard of DIM. Why would someone use DIM in addition to their Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) therapy. What are the benefits? How does it compare to an ai?

DIM works in a very different way than an aromatase inhibitor. In fact, DIM doesn't reduce estradiol levels whatsoever so it can't even be compared to an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) such as anastrozole.
In context to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), testosterone will convert to estrogens at a highly individualized rate; estradiol(e2) being the one of concern. Estradiol's phase one metabolic pathway consists of oxidation rather than other steroid hormones which mainly are by hydroxylation. The way DIM works is by upping the amount of hydroxylation estradiol/estrone is metabolized through leading to a larger amount of hydroxylized metabolites. If you have a higher rate of oxidation of estradiol/estrone it has been proven to increase the risk of certain hormone driven cancers more common to women such as breast cancer.
In short, DIM changes the metabolic pathway of estrogen. The benefits for men on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) are minimal and it doesn't compare to an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) as they work in different ways. For estrogen management during testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), use an aromatase inhibitor.

I'm in a predicament as my doc won't give me an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) to combat higher estrogen levels which are resulting from Testorone therapy. My estradiol is 26 at the moment and estrone is at 51. However, those levels may be higher now since it's been 4 weeks since my last blood test. Anyway, how would I go about getting an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) if my doc won't prescribe one? Do I keep going to random docs in the hopes that one of them will prescribe me an AI? Also, if I can't manage to get an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) is there herbals that do the same things? Someone mentioned an herbal called Erase, will that work just as well?
I am using DIM and it seems to help, dunno for sure though.

Don't guess what your estradiol is. "It may be..."? Get a lab test and know for sure. You very well may not require an Aromatase inhibitor (AI). Lots of guys on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) don't need to use an AI.
