ANYMORE. Since August, 23 Americans have disappeared in Nuevo Leredo. There have been reported disappearances all along the U.S./Mexican border. This bothers the hell outta me since ive been to Nuevo Leredo and Matomorris umteen times. Its been yrs since ive been though. Sucks b/c i used to love goin to Leredo....it was a blast.

I wouldnt chance it again.
Just thought id pass it along.

Yeah, I'm not calling you a lair, but you've got my attention. I havent heard a word about this in the media, or from any of my professors.

Can you give any kind of reference?
 
Read the article in the Times Picayune. Louisianas top paper in the New Orleans area.. I wuldnt make it up. I wish i had the article.

yoeh it's true i have never read the article but i know if you look rich or have any nice jewlery anywhere too south of the border you'll be lying face down with a mexican up your ass
 
To back up this info, I had seen the same type of report last month on one of the evening news shows, I believe it was 20/20. Most of the missing Americans are never found...no bodies. Those that have been found were going into Mexico via Laredo, TX for some vice (rec drugs, etc.). It is presently the most dangerous border point for Americans going into or out of Mexico. Be carefull.

Yep, and I used to LOVE goin to Nuevo Leredo partying on cheap tequila and staggering across the border at 3 a.m.

Why the fuck wuld i lie. I read it about 3 wks ago in the Sunday edition.
Got a guy @ IT that crossed in Arizona and said customs alerted them to it as well.

They specifically mentioned Nuevo Leredo so maybe u shuld add t.hat to ur search.

They said all along the Mexican border but specifically Nuevo Leredo had the most disappearences. The gear sucks anyway!
 
Pretty scary, I didnt read the article but think about it. If you have enough money to buy rec drugs... the mexi's know that any money = thier money.
 
Well I disagree. I have lived in Baja Ca. Mexico since 7/5/04. I go through the border crossing twice a week into San Dego. I have only been taken to secondary one time and that is cause I was still drunk from my Birthday Party and called the guy a f-ing fagot. I won't go into details about it. ther have been some problems recently with the drug cartel kidnapping americans and holding them for ransom. I don't know a soul that this has happened to. If you really want to purchase something in Mexico, when your heading back just tell them you live in Mexico and your going to the states to do some shopping. hell I went thru the border today. I buy ton's of Cig's for friends and take them to them when visiting. Now this is a fact. Don't be afraid of Mexico. I'm a white boy and have never had a problem. LOL maybe because i look like some big ass BIKER

I stand corrected Gator. But it seems 'most' of the poeple taken where involved in the rec drug trade. I thought you meant they were targeting tourists who they thought had money.

And Tough OM, i don't think you'll see many Americans dissapearing in Baja...the TJ cartel isn't that stupid and doesn't want to draw anymore attention to themselves.
