P7M8, a little older than UPS, but still a GREAT gun. I love it, but I'd like to get a small revolver again as a carry gun. Probably a 5 shot smith .38 or something like that

Yeah, with all the shit going on in my county they're literally handing them out to anyone. The wait list is over a year out. I scheduled my initial appointment in Sept. last year. Plus being robbed at gunpoint is a pretty "valid reason" to apply. As long as you have a decently clean record they'll give you one.

Yeah, I have the full size USP .40 which is what I applied with. It's a little heavy to carry around all day concealed though so I'm thinking like a G19 or something. I've never been a fan of Glocks, but a looot of people swear by them.
 
I had one of the early 19's and I hated it. I'm sure the new ones are better, but I still have a bad taste in my mouth from that one. Yeah, that's the reason I want another small revolver. Light, easy to carry all day. My P7 is a good size but still a little big, not something you're likely to grab if you're just running to the store. The best gun is always the one you have with you, doesn't matter what you have at home. Revolvers also NEVER jam, and if you can't get yourself out of shit with 5 rounds, you should re-think what you're doing. I really do like the .40 cartridge, but a good .38+p is also a fine round.

I've actually never shot a Glock. I'm gonna go try out some compacts and lighter guns sometime this week... hopefully.
