Yeah that doesn't really give ANY explanation lol.
That's gotta be rough. I was lucky enough to be pretty young when my family "glue" passed away. I never really had much family to begin with, but now it's literally just me and my dad. I get cards from his mom on my birthday and shit at least and sometimes see her on Christmas, but that's it. Haven't heard from my mom or anyone on her side for years.
Is that what you do with them? I thought you glued them on Doc to give him a beard

It will get better as soon as I can remove myself entirely from the scene.
That's part of the reason I'm moving 2 cities away from all of them and going to live out in the sticks.
It's funny you mention the "glue". The guy that passed was just that, he was the only thing holding these people that like to call themselves family together.
While not funny, I knew exactly how this was going to go down. I know these people, I know why they needed him and what they'd do without him. Before his death I laid out the expected scenario to my girl.
Literally every single step played out before my eyes to my dismay.
My family really is pathetic.
There are only 2 people that I call family anymore and they both live 4 hours away.

I know exactly what you mean. Like I said I was too young to understand but I've heard many stories of shady things being done by "family". The closest I have to family is about 6 hours away in another state. My dad's step brother... or ex step brother as that marriage ended yeeeears ago.

That sucks brother I've been blessed with a close family, every birthday we have 20-30 people at the house. I wouldn't trade it for the world. We're all funny good hearted people that seem to love life, it's always a good time when we get together

Count your blessing friend, you're one of the lucky ones.
It seems that families that are deeply steeped in tradition seem to hold together better than the ones that shoot from their hip. I have limited experience with both but that's the way it seems to me.
My girls family is like yours, everyone love everyone, they all get along and actually WANT to talk to each other.
For them, they never worry about trust or being stabbed in the back.
Must be nice.

That's what I was thinking. I was just curious if it made his job easier because those threads had already been through 10 years worth of mod-filtering.
