Creatine Monohydrate can increase lean muscle mass and strength. It has also been shown to aid in recovery after workouts. Creatine is found to be beneficial in the overall growth of the lean muscle mass and provides athletes with enough energy to go on with their strenuous activities. Muscle endurance is improved, enabling longer and more intense training sessions.

There are two popular of taking creatine monohydrate. The first is "loading" when you rapidly load your muscles with creatine. Take up to 20-30 grams per day mixed with juice, water or a shake. Mix 5-10 grams of creatine 4-5 times a day for a maximum of 20-30 grams a day. After the loading period, cut back to 5 to 15 grams a daily.

The second way is skipping the loading and begin taking 5-15 grams per day, each day. With either method, avoid caffeine and other diuretics and include glucose with your dosage one hour before your workouts.
 
5g is enough to saturate muscle tissue. Loading phase will saturate muscle in 1-2wks vs ~4wks if you just take 5g/day. A way for you to use more and spend more IMO.
 
Take ~5g/day. Don't listen to that nonsense.

I've just been using Sizeon Max, which contains creatine, but it doesn't say how much.

Supplement companies would recommend it bc it's not dangerous but gets you to use more product and spend more money.

No need to consume it with glucose. It's claimed that glucose and insulin will help it absorb faster into the muscle but after 4wks of taking it at 5g/day it's fully saturated the muscle and absorption speed will not matter in the slightest. Plus, absorbing it faster wont increase its effects in any way.

Creatine makes you retain water. It increases lbm by increasing skeletal muscle water concentrations. Diuretics obviously flush water so you're doing the opposite of what you're trying to accomplish by using creatine when you use diuretics.

As to the caffeine, it's fine to take them together. Read this thread for more details if interested.

Didn't have to go through the trouble of explaining the caffeine part or glucose part.
I understand creatine, but when it said 20 to 30 grams daily with no mention of deloading, I was a little confused.
