Doctor is a little slow, some opinions

Ok doctor is a little slow. I am 29 had numbers of 210 and 173 did patches for a month and went up to 234, now on test E 100mg a week. Feeling better but not quite there yet. I am going through the Va do everything is free and name brand so going away from the Va is not an option. Doctor is a little slow but is following protocol and I think staying on the safe side which is fine by me, but I am pushing for a Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) but she hasnt done the blood work to confirm. I see her in about a month and will push for these items.

But for now I inject every thursday and seems come about tuesday the falling starts and come wed its really crashing and I am thinking I am going to want to do every 6 days instead of 7. But this is what I was wondering. The bottle of stuff I get is monthly and says 1000ml/5ml then 200mg and something else. Sorry being stupid but havent been on this stuff long and just wondering to read everything. I have only been on test e for two weeks but been on testerone for a total of 6 weeks was on patches for a month which was very inconsistent. My question is if I am reading the bottle right I should be able to do 10 100mg/.5ml a month or five 200mg/1ml per month. What I was kind of thinking was trying maybe 150mg/.75ml per week to see how I feel. question is, is there enough in the bottle to do that, or would I run out before the month ends. Also I dont want to go in to see the doc and she runs a test and says well your numbers are good when doing 100mg when in fact im doing 150 or something else. But if there is enough in the bottle I would never have to worry about her changing the script. Or could I do my own experiment up until a week before the visit then go back to normal, and would the blood test show the results of 100mg or show higher due to lingering affects of the higher dose.

Also is it normal to feel a drop off the last few days before a new shot or is it that I am still to new to the shots thats its not my system.

If it says 1000ml/5ml I wld bet its a 5ml vial and all u have to do is divide the 5(ml) into the 1000 (ml) and u get 200cc per ml. So u can just do the math take whatever u want to pin and divide by total (1000) and that will tell uu how many pins u have . You bring up a valid point though, you start experimenting with doses your blood is going to reflect that and mis-lead your dr. I wld just do as she says then when u see where ur at with the blood work u can go from there wether its through the dr or on your own. Keep this in mind though test e takes 4-6 wks to fully take effect so give it time. Hope that helps u and good luck

Read that label again. I am betting it says 1000mg/5ml. That just means the whole bottle is 5ml @ 200mg/ml. I agree that sticking with what is prescribed @ 100mg/week would be best for right now, ESPECIALLY dealing with the VA. Many people don't realize how they can be to deal with. If you are really feeling bad by day 6 or 7, just break the shots up 2x a week. So, 50mg or .25cc on Mon and Thu, or whatever. I don't know of any docs that would have a problem with that. If you need more syringes, you can buy them online, or just take your vial to CVS or Walgreens or wherever, and they should let you buy them for like $.25 ea. After a few weeks of treatment, the test will build up in your body, and you probably won't feel bad by the end of the week, although some of us (myself included) do break ours up just to keep levels as stable as possible.

Ok thanks yeah it is a 1000/5ml and the 200 is off to the side. Yeah I will probably wait but like Ace said the Va can be a real peach. The level of care is good and the products are good their schedule just isnt what yours is. And I was just wondering because I know I am new to E but not to testosterone all together. I will give it a few more weeks and see how it goes, they gave me a ton of shots and I get can get more, and from it seems the bottle gives me plenty extra, so if I dont get what I want I have some wiggle room. Thanks

You need to inject more often. I went to 3.5 days and dropped Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and my esrogen issues went away and I am feeling great. I don't take adex anymore either. As many here have stated Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) really screws them up causing spikes in estrogen. And pinning more often keeps your levels steady. I also bought some 25 gauge needles and pinning is painless.

Bottom line, adding more drugs isnt the answer. Try to get dialed in with test only. I would add Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) only if you are wanting to have kids soon.

FWIW a board sponsor sells syringes. I bought 100 20 gauge syringes, 100 25 gauge 1" needles and 200 alcohol pads for like $25 and the syringes are a lot easier to read than what maximus and imt send out, the brand they use sucks, the plunger hides the measurement marks.

Well, from what I've read in other posts here, it sound like your doctor is moving pretty fast for a VA doc. I don't know how long you have to wait for your next appointment with her, but I'd suggest waiting and discussing your symptoms on the 6th day, and ask her if it would be OK to change to a 5 day schedule, and let her calculate what the amount to inject should be. Also, if possible, try to get your next blood test taken on the day of your injection BEFORE you inject, so that you, and your doctor, know what your lowest T level is.

All the advice from above is solid. My 2 cents: make sure your physican checks your E2 and not your Total Estrogen levels on your next round of blood work. Good luck..

thanks everybody. Talked to the doc and I initially had an appointment with the Uro, but after calling around the Endo is actually the one that monitors the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). So I have that in about a month. Also she was cool with doing every 6 days instead of 7 so this week I will do a day early. I also said based off of feel I need more of it, which she agreed I could up the dose, but didnt really say how much. My last blood test was 4 weeks after starting testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and I had went up 20-30 points to a total of 234, I am wondering what I should up the dose to, I was thinking 140 or 160 as the needles go in 20 increments. And see how I am based off of feel after those. I do have a blood test ordered and can go in any time for that. I think Im going to do it in 2 weeks after doing my new regimen, should I get the blood before or after the shot.

Thats weird on Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) it seems everybody is for it, I can definitely tell my balls have shrunk a little already. But i am definitely all about using less medication as possible.

Get your blood drawn before your shot, on the day you are to inject. Since you typically feel worse at the bottom of the swing, you want to engineer to that, not the peak. In other words, get the bottom to where you feel good, and the leak can be whatever it is, you should still feel good.

If you inject the same amount every 6 days instead of every 7 days, that will be a slight increase in your dose. I'd start with that and see how you feel. Ask the doc about Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) when you see them next. Good luck!
